For burnishing over minor porosity in gold, making it possible to salvage highly porous pieces without gold loss. The square shape with rounded corners acts as a little rotating mallet that burnishes the metal surrounding the porosity and fills it in. Eliminates the need to fill in the holes with solder. Similar in operation and effect to a margin roller burnisher but more aggressive.
Has a 3/32" shank for use with your flex shaft machine.
